How we keep Rosie financially accessible for all:

While similar mentorship programs charge up to $350 to participate, Rosie remains barrier-free thanks to community support. As a registered charity, we ask participants to make a voluntary contribution that aligns with their budget and career stage to help The Prosperity Project cover our program costs, which amount to $500 per match.

Contributions are optional but encouraged, and contributions do not affect eligibility or the matching process. Donations to The Prosperity Project are eligible for a full tax receipt.

Did You Know? Your Employer May Match Your Donation

Some employers provide financial grants to charities when employees volunteer their time or make donations. If your company offers volunteer grants or donation matching, your involvement with the Rosie Mentorship Program — whether as a mentor or mentee — may qualify. This means your volunteer hours or financial contribution could be matched, increasing your impact at no additional cost to you.

We encourage you to check with your HR department to see if your company participates and to learn more. We are happy to provide an official letter certifying your volunteer involvement, a donation receipt or a confirmation letter if needed. Email mentoring@canadianprosperityproject.ca to learn more.

“Being a mentor in the Rosie Mentorship Project was a truly rewarding experience. I had the chance to support my mentee’s growth, share insights, and learn from their unique perspective. The program fostered meaningful conversations, skill development, and collaboration, making it a valuable experience for both mentors and mentees.”

“I am a 40 year old female that has never had a mentor, let alone a female mentor. While I originally joined the Rosie program as a mentor for younger women in STEM, I was pleasantly surprised to be paired with a mentor. While we were in completely separate roles and industries, she provided so much guidance on helping me develop my business skills. There was so much we could share and learn from each other. It was also lovely to have a completely impartial champion to help sort through various opportunities and a safe space to grow.”

“Being a mentor with the Rosie Mentorship program was a two-way learning experience – I had the benefit of meeting and conversing with an ambitious, engaging young woman, enjoyed some laughs and listened to them put plans into action. “

“As a newcomer, I did not know much about Canada and its business culture. The Rosie Mentorship Program taught me how to network and also assisted me with the basic necessities for starting my professional life here.”

“As a new mentor, I felt that the preparation process was outstanding and the matching with my mentee was very well done: we have been able to develop a strong connection where I feel I am offering value and also learning from her through the process.”

“I greatly enjoyed this program. Having a mentor in my field in a different province provided some great perspective. I feel more confident in growing my leadership skills as a result of working with my mentor during this program.”
