The Benchmarking Report 2025 offers a comprehensive analysis of gender equity across nine major industries in Canada. It is the only national benchmarking report to apply an intersectional lens, providing organizations with a deeper understanding of where they lead, where they lag, and how they can drive meaningful change.
This year’s report includes data from the following sectors: Finance & Insurance; Real Estate & Rental and Leasing; Utilities; Retail Trade; Mining, Quarrying, and Oil and Gas Extraction; Other Services (except Public Administration); Manufacturing; Professional, Scientific & Technical Services; and Transportation & Warehousing.
Data is disaggregated across four leadership levels: Board of Directors, Executive Officers, Senior & Middle Management, and Pipeline to Senior Management. Within each level, the report breaks down representation by identity, including all women, Black women, Indigenous women, women of colour, women with disabilities, and 2SLGBTQIA+ women.
This intersectional approach allows companies to benchmark their performance against industry peers and uncover opportunities for targeted progress.
