The Prosperity Project (TPP) Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the following volunteer
position: Director with professional expertise in finance, accounting, audit, or risk management —ideally based in Western Canada (Alberta or British Columbia).

About The Prosperity Project
The Prosperity Project is a national, non-profit organization founded by some of Canada’s most
senior women leaders in 2020. Our mission is to advance women’s economic empowerment,
leadership, and participation in the workforce, recognizing that gender equality is essential to
Canada’s long-term prosperity.

We work with business, government, and community partners to:
• Increase women’s representation in leadership and on boards,
• Support women’s career advancement in all sectors,
• Address systemic barriers to gender equity, and
• Champion policies and initiatives that promote inclusive economic growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The following characteristics describe an individual well-suited to serve on The Prosperity Project’s Board of Directors:
• Deep experience in finance, accounting, audit, or risk management.
• Commitment to fully participate in quarterly Board meetings and related committee work (Finance and Audit; Human Resources and Governance; and, Advancement Committee).
• Willingness to champion The Prosperity Project’s mission and act as an ambassador within their networks.
• Commitment to confidentiality, strong governance practices, and non-partisanship.
• Experience on a non-profit or publicly funded Board would be an asset.
• Residency in Western Canada (Alberta or BC) is preferred.

Role of Board Members
The Prosperity Project Board meets virtually four times annually (one hour per meeting, with an additional hour for committee members). Directors serve without remuneration. Board members play a critical role in providing oversight, contributing to strategic direction, and connecting the organization with resources and networks that strengthen our impact.
